Just one week into the new year and I have so very much to be grateful for. No job yet but doing OK and I know beyond a doubt that Heavenly Father is guiding my course at this time. I try to serve as much as I can when there is an opportunity and I love the feeling of helping other members of my church group as needed. I fasted before church today and I just looked so forward to going to church.
Our church time changed from 9 am to 10:30 and I really like that so much. I can lounge a little and if I need to catch up on any studies I have time for that as well. For my readers that are not a member of the church I go to, on the first Sunday of each month we have what is called a Testimony Meeting. We partake of sacrament to renew covenants we have made and then the time is turned over to the congregation to share a testimony of their own. It is my favorite meeting of the month because I always grow from hearing each and everyone. There are so many people struggling in today's world and hearing how they handle their struggles helps me to find courage to handle my own.
It did not disappoint. In fact it turned out to be a very special day because Ambur went up and shared her testimony. It is always a pleasure for me to hear my children bear testimony of the gospel, but today was very special indeed because she asked me how many steps to the podium and then she had gimme guide her up the steps and as she was reaching for the podium, our sweet Bishop lovingly and gently took her arm and assisted her to the podium. Then she just bore such a sweet testimony of the Book of Mormon and her gratitude to be reading it and studying it and building good habits. I was so pleased inside and just proud of her for stepping out of her comfort zone and doing the difficult thing. I am blessed to be her mother.
We had a delightful day and I am filled with a great joy of gratitude and happiness for having the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life.
