Disney Collectible Trading Pins

I love collecting things--Not like a hoarder collects, but just having a bunch of some type of thing that brings me joy.  For a lot of years, I collected miniature clocks and as people learned of it, I was given gifts of miniature clocks for my birthday, Christmas, mothers day and it was a joy to receive and now as I see them, they bring a smile to my face because of the great memories.

One of the things I collect now is Disney Collection Pins.  I have gone somewhat overboard in ordering and/or purchasing them, especially when I went to Disneyland in 2019, I really added to my collection.  If you aren't familiar with the process, you can take pins and they have people walking around and they will trade any pin for no charge, so you might find something you have never seen or something that you have been just dying to have and there you see it--isn't that exciting!  It is almost a feeling of accomplishment.

Today I finally got to unpack all my Disney Pins and get them hung up on the wall.  It has been close to a year since I took them down and I just love having them up again.

When I think of the talents of the creators, painters, marketers, and who knows how many other people who create them it brings a sense of awe to me. It isn't just a pin to hang on a wall, it is a piece of art with memories behind it, a movie, a cartoon etc.

One of my favorite pins is the one that looks like the old tickets.  I have used those tickets and I just love the memory.  I remember the tickets being dropped by one of my family members at the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse and the hustle that happened to get them back.

I don't have as much room in my house now, so I had to combine pins onto different lanyards. But it still looks great.  I have just wonderful memories of each and every pin that I have.  I still continue to get at least 1 each year.

They bring happiness and joy to my mind and heart and I am so grateful for them and those who create them.
