Break is Over getting back to the blog again!

It has been a very long time since I posted anything in my blog.  I got a new computer so hopefully I will get back at it.  I don't lead the most interesting life anyhow. Ambur and I decided we want to try to do many activities this year so we can get to know some of the areas of Las Vegas better. There are so many opportunities around us and hopefully we will have some great experiences.

Starting off before we even knew it, I had to go pick up some things one night at the Palms casino and they had their big trees up so I took a selfie.

Then, we were at a store one night and they had these fun headbands.  I am going back tomorrow to get one and I hope they still have them.  I just think it is so cute.

Ambur scored two tickets to the new film at Flyover.  I just love this place.  The new one is the Canadian Rockies and we went on the 22nd of November.  Gimme immediately gave Ambur kisses when we sat down to get the picture.  We had a great time.

We have made a list of things to do as we hear about them or find them.  Tonight, there was a tree lighting at a place called Tivoli Village.  It is on the west side, in Summerlin and my work is not far from there so Ambur took the bus to my work and then we headed on over to the Village.  I haven't been for a long time and I couldn't remember where the best place to park was at, but we ended up finding the perfect spot.  We headed inside. There is a really large replica display of the village inside and it is pretty cool to look at.  It has cars, trees, bushes and it is fun to see.

We found the place to get in line for the Horse and Carriage ride which is what I was really excited for because it is free and I have never been on one before.  We got there about 20 min after it started and there was already a big line.

That didn't deter us.  We took turns walking around and then we visited with those around us, played on our phones and waited for the tree lighting while we waited for our turn.  We had a great time.  The big giant tree wasn't too far from the line so we could see all around it there while we waited.

About 7:15 (we started at 5:00) A red van pulled up.  It isn't too hard to guess who was in the red van that says HoHoHO on the front.  That's right it was Santa Claus.

It might not be too hard to guess who was in the van, but boy oh boy is it hard to see him.  He is in this picture, but I couldn't even snap the camera before the kids had all run over and surrounded him.  That is the best picture I was able to get.

At about 7:35 the tree was lit.  It is such a large tree I couldn't get the full tree in the picture, but it sure looked pretty.  Ornaments are gold and blue and then the lights are all gold, or yellow.  It looks great.

Finally, at about 8:00 (three hours after arriving) we got to go for the carriage ride.  Gimlet wouldn't jump into the carriage, so the worker let her stay back and she watched her while Ambur and I went.

The ride went just down through the square of shops and at the end there is a huge display of lights and these giant ornaments.  thew were blue and gold.

The view from my seat.

When we got off, Gimlet was eyeing Ambur and as always, the crowds were amazed at how she just stared forward until we got back and she could see Ambur again.  We got to take our picture with the horse.

There was a great tree inside one of the shops so we grabbed a picture there.  It was a really pretty tree.

We stopped and ate a wonderful dinner at the Boulder Station Casino and then home we went and now I have completed a blog and will try to stay caught up.  I am blessed and I am grateful for each and every tender mercy I receive from my Heavenly father.
